This limited-edition, signed, and numbered Bianco Blu Purple Grenadier will be a one-of-a-kind addition to any bird collection. Crafted exclusively for GlassBirds.com as part of our Bianco Blu Custom Collection, the unique mix of colors resemble that of the Purple Grenadier finch. The semi-transparent body mixes stunning shades of light and dark purple with a textured surface, giving the bird the appearance of ruffled feathers. Atop its graceful body rests a rich orange head and pointy beak. This impressive mouth-blown glass creation will look delightful soaking up the rays while it sits on a windowsill and be a showpiece atop a dresser, desk and more.
Crafted in Fiskars, Finland exclusively for GlassBirds.com, the Bianco Blu Purple Grenadier is truly a one-of-a-kind piece of art you won't find anywhere else. The bird was designed by artist Tarmo Maaronen and mouth-blown by a small team of skilled blowers. Maaronen was born in 1963 in Urjala, Finland and has been blowing glass since 1979. He worked as a teacher of Scandinavian glass techniques from 1995-1997, until he founded his own glass studio Bianco Blu. Because of the handcrafted technique, there may be signs of craftsmanship and variations between your bird and the bird pictured.
