Description
Fans of Toikka's puffball will love the plump shape and short stature of the Kihu by Muurla. Mouth-blown without the use of a mold in Finland, every Muurla Kihu White Glass Bird is a unique piece of handcrafted art. Still, each one-of-a-kind creation will share a similar shape of black, opaque glass. The senior glassblowers have more than 30 years experience and each add their own personal touch to their birds using glass that's been melted in 1100 C (2012 F) heat. Because lead-free sand from Finnish nature is used in the production, you'll bring a piece of Finland home when you purchase a Muurla bird. Add the Kihu to your Finnish flock of birds or gift it to a friend who appreciates beautiful craftsmanship. Inspired by the Skua seabird (Kihu in Finnish), birdwatchers will also appreciate this piece.
